Serving the Word: 19th August

WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST

Matthew 20, 1-16:
“The last shall be first, and the first last.”

We each have our moment for the Lord. And it can happen to us like to the labourers in the parable, when we see that the Lord gives the same wage to those who have worked since sunrise as to those who have worked only since sunset.
This way of paying that the Lord has for me fills me with joy because I see that what the Lord pays for is not the work.
The Lord does not care how long the labourers work. What he cares about is the person.
What he cares about is that we are all workers in his vineyard. Each one has his own moment to be called. And each one has his time to work.
From the personal moment you are living now, feel called by the Lord. Don’t look at the time or the clock.
The important thing is that the Lord calls you to work in his vineyard which is the world and the Church.
Congratulations because you have found a job and you are working!
Good day.
