Serving the Word: 12th September

SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER

Luke 6, 43-49:
“Every one who comes to me, hears my words and does them, I will tell you what he is like: he is like a man who built a house: he dug, he deepened, he laid the foundation on rock; and when the flood came, the river rushed against that house, and could not bring it down, because it was solidly built.

Jesus guides our life and gives us the fundamental indications so that we do not get lost in the path of our searches and our choices.
He wants us to be characterized by doing good and contributing our gifts to the building of the Kingdom of God, which makes use of “masons” who, at times, can make mistakes in the choice of the land on which they build their ideals and expectations.
Although Jesus offers us some masterly lessons in architecture and engineering, which are very clear, we tend to build on apparently easy terrain which, in the long run, leads to collapse and ruin.
Building on rock takes more time and effort. But it is worth it.
Keep in mind that what is built on the rock that is Christ will never be torn down.
Strive today to build your life on solid rock.
Good day.
