Serving the Word: 11th September

Luke 6, 6-11

“Jesus said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand. He did so, and his hand was restored”.

We find Jesus always doing good, always rehabilitating the human person, which for him is the most important thing.

The dignity of the person is above all else, even above any rule, because every rule must be aimed at the good of the human being.

Today we see Jesus healing on the Sabbath, a day on which it was totally forbidden to carry out any kind of activity. Once again it is the power of his word that works the miracle.

We all need to restore some part of our life that may be a little or a lot paralysed.

Put yourself in the presence of Jesus. Take a few minutes to review your life. And notice those aspects of your life that may be a little stagnant. Sometimes it happens that during the holidays we neglect and paralyse our life of faith. And let Jesus with his powerful Word heal your paralysis.

Good day to you.
