On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first encounter of former Claretian companions in Salamanca, a reunion was convened on September 22 in Loja, a place where almost all the participants had spent some years as postulants, philosophers or novices.
The place and the environment were favourable to go back to those years when everything was energy, dreams and fantasy of building a better world. Each of them tried to identify their pew in the chapel, their desk, their bedroom, their dining room table… and, above all, the sports fields and the fronton.
Time had changed them, but the illusions remained. Living together, their companions, and sharing after-dinner meals made the slightly faded picture of Loja in their minds become sharp and clear when contrasted with reality.
