On 14th September, we celebrated the priestly ordination of two Claretians, Fr. Lee Malunga and Fr. Kudzai Innocent Tonganai, marking a truly memorable day.
The ordination took place at St Dominic in Ruwa (Harare), and was presided over by His Grace, the Most Reverend Robert Christopher Ndlovu, Archbishop of Harare. The event was graced by the presence of Fr. Félix Martínez, CMF, Provincial Prefect of Formation, and Fr. Manuel Segura, CMF, Provincial Econome, along with all the Claretians serving in the Zimbabwe Mission. This occasion represents a significant moment of growth for the mission and the congregation as a whole. It was a day filled with joy and celebration.
In the days that followed, a Thanksgiving Mass for Fr. Lee Malunga, CMF, was held in Chegutu, with many Claretians in attendance, including Fr. Joaquín Béjar, CMF, the coordinator of the Zimbabwe Mission, and members of the Mission Council. Similarly, a Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated at Fr. Kudzai’s family home in Bikita, with people coming from Gokwe, Harare, and other regions to take part. Once again, the event was blessed by the presence of Fr. Joaquín, CMF.
