On the weekend of November 17-19, in Fatima (Portugal), the encounter of the “Quinquenio” took place. It was attended by 43 Claretian priests of the first years of ministry, all of them currently assigned in the provinces of Europe. The encounter, therefore, had an intercontinental character: among the participants, there were 16 nationalities.
The theme of the meeting was “The challenges of evangelisation in Europe”. The presentations were given by Fr. Antonio Sánchez Orantos (Claretian), Metchtild (a German layman) and Miguel Ángel Sosa (General Coordinator of the Lay Claretians).
The encounter took place in an atmosphere of hope, coexistence, dialogue, opportunity, discernment, re-encounter, universality and celebration, concluding with a series of challenges of which one stands out above all: in reality, “the only challenge is to evangelise”.
