During the 2024–2025 pastoral year, the PJV Prefecture of the Fátima Province has been guided by the motto: “Caring for Vocation.” This care includes a proposal we call the Vocational Process in Three Phases—a tool designed to help adolescents and young people discern their vocation.
The first phase focused on helping young people explore their vocation through three key dimensions: passion, reciprocity, and legacy.
The second phase offered a deeper and more personal understanding of the various vocations within the Church. Under the title “Vocation 360°”, we explored three essential elements of consecrated life, using the example of the Claretian Missionaries: the vows, community life, and prayer.
The third phase took the form of a vocational retreat—a weekend spent within a Claretian community. This took place from 30 May to 1 June 2025, in the Claretian Missionary community of Claret Sevilla.
Following the narrative from the Gospel of John (1:35–43), we delved into three themes over the course of the weekend: “What are you looking for?”, “Come and see”, and “Follow me.”
Three young people from Almendralejo participated in the retreat, living alongside the Claretian Missionaries to experience our life and mission firsthand. Through moments of prayer, personal reflection, and listening to vocational testimonies, we provided them with a space to deepen their discernment and place their lives before God.
We give thanks to God for this experience and continue to pray for these young people, that the Lord may enlighten them on their vocational path.
