Encounter of Economes of all the major organisms of the Claretian missionaries in Vic

From September 7 to 16, 2023, the Encounter of Economes of the Major Organisms of the Congregation of Missionaries Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Claretian Missionaries), organised by the General Prefecture of Economy, which is usually convoked every six years, was held in Vic (Barcelona, Spain). The Economes of the 31 Major Organisms of the Congregation (18 Provinces and 13 Delegations) and some members of the General Council of Economy participated in the meeting.

The meeting served to discuss various topics concerning economic management in the Congregation, from general principles to very concrete aspects. One of the central themes was that of the “Stable Patrimony” which, according to the instructions of the DIVCSVA, will have to be defined in each Organism and in the General Administration in the coming months. In the days prior to the Meeting (Monday 4 to Wednesday 6 September) there was an intensive course with the new bursars (appointed or elected after the General Chapter).

Vic was chosen as the venue for this Encounter within the framework of the celebrations of the 175th Anniversary of the foundation of the Congregation, to give the treasurers the opportunity to get to know or to visit again, as the case may be, the Claretian places. It was a privilege to spend those days in such an emblematic place for the Claretian Missionaries, under the protection of the tomb of our Founder, St. Anthony Mary Claret.
