COMMUNITIES OF THE MONTH

The Claretian Community of Tondela

It is located in Portugal, District and Diocese of Viseu, Municipality of Tondela, Dr. Eurico José Gouveia Street, 400, 3460-580 Tondela.
Currently, there are three Claretian missionaries in this community:

  • Fr. Miguel Ângelo Cardoso Lemos, 42 years old, Timorese nationality (East Timor), Superior of the Community.
  • Fr. Custódio Rodrigues Pinto, 81 years old, Portuguese nationality, Vicar, Secretary and Chronicler.
  • Fr. António Víctor Amorim Portugal Martins, 54 years old, Portuguese nationality, Econome of the Community.

Pastoral positions and tasks:

  • Fr. António Víctor Amorim Portugal Martins: Parish Priest of the Parish of Santa Maria de Tondela, President of the Conference of Religious Institutes (CIRP) in the Diocese of Viseu, Head of the Department of the Laity of the Diocese of Viseu, Teacher of Catholic Moral and Religious Education at Escola da Lageosa do Dão (Tondela Cândido Figueiredo School Group).
  • Fr. Miguel Ângelo Cardoso Lemos: Parochial Vicar of Santa Maria de Tondela and Collaborator in the Procure.
  • Fr. Custódio Rodrigues Pinto: Parochial Collaborator.

In the Parish of Tondela, we carry out the pastoral mission, with its various aspects: liturgical, prophetic, social, familial, youth, and vocational.
Occasionally, we also collaborate with the parish priests of neighbouring parishes in sacramental or pastoral services, according to the requests.

 

 

Claretians – Málaga

The Claretian community in Málaga consists of four members: Fr. Félix Clement, superior and parish vicar; Fr. Antonio Venceslá, community vicar and econome; Fr. José Manuel Caselles, parish priest; and Fr. Rocky Xarael, parish vicar.

The main mission of this community is the pastoral care of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. In addition, its members carry out other important ministries: Fr. Félix Clement and Fr. Rocky Xarael serve as chaplains in two hospitals; Fr. José Manuel Caselles is responsible for spiritual direction at the Diocesan Seminary; Fr. Antonio Venceslá assists with confessions for the Little Sisters of the Poor community and leads the formation of teachers in our province’s schools. The community also provides spiritual guidance to the Daughters of Charity at San Manuel School.
