Serving the Word: Mk 6: 34-44

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8

Mark 6, 34-44:
“Feed them yourselves.”

The people crowded around Jesus because they walked like sheep without a shepherd.
They do not even realize that it is getting late.
It is the disciples who realize that it is getting late and want to leave soon.
But Jesus is not in a hurry. He even tells them to give them food.
Go to Jesus. He will never be in a hurry not to attend to you.
And listen also to his command: “give them something to eat”.
He wants to use you to satisfy every kind of hunger.
Put your five loaves and your two fish in his hands and you will see how he does everything else. Put into his hands what little you have and he will perform the miracle.

Good day.
