The Claretian Schools of the Fátima Province held the 5th Provincial Pedagogical Meeting on 17, 18 and 19 November, a training event that brought together teachers from the schools in Porto, Don Benito, Seville and Las Palmas, under the theme “Leading the Classroom with Connection: Bonds that Transform”.
This meeting, conceived as a space to “pause, reflect, and strengthen the bonds that make comprehensive, meaningful and transformative education possible”, became a deeply Christian, human and professional experience. It was also a space for training, meeting and fellowship among Claretian educators of the Province, where sharing good practices, perspectives and experiences greatly enriched all participants and reinforced the sense of Claretian family.
Over the three days, the meeting followed a very clear educational thread:
-
The first day focused on reclaiming teaching identity and vocation, looking inward to reconnect with the Claretian charism;
-
The second day explored how to lead the classroom and families through connection, featuring lectures, TED-style talks, and a roundtable dedicated to building more humane classrooms and genuine partnerships with families;
-
The third day was devoted to strengthening teaching teams, providing tools for a shared vision and collaborative work that can transform the life of the schools.
We return to our schools with a clear certainty: when a teacher leads, connects and builds bonds… the classroom is transformed.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Special thanks to the educational community of Claret Las Palmas for the warm welcome and for attending to so many small details that made us feel truly at home.
We continue creating maps of hope.
