Serving the Word: Mt 1: 16.18-21.24a

THURSDAY 19 MARCH 2020

Matthew 1, 16.18-21.24a:
“When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him.

In the middle of the Lenten desert, we celebrate today the Solemnity of St. Joseph, husband of the Virgin Mary.
Joseph teaches us to let ourselves be led by God.
A man of deep faith, he accepted the Lord’s plans, renouncing his own.
He knew how to change his project of life for the project that God was asking of him.
When the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and revealed that he would be the legal father of the child that Mary carried in her womb, he let himself be led by God.
He believed in the Word of the Lord and did what the angel had commanded him.
Pray with St. Joseph today and ask him for his deep and intense faith.
Ask also to know how to change your project when God asks you to do so.
And finally ask for the holiness of this just and holy man. Congratulations to all the Josephs and Josephines.
Good day.
