Tuesday 29 October
Luke 13, 18-21:
“The Kingdom of God is like a grain of mustard seed… it is like the yeast a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until it was leavened all through”.
We return to the small things. To the tiny seeds of mustard and to the small yeast in the dough.
It is hardly visible, but you feel it and notice when it is not there.
They are the small details, little services, the smiles given, the hugs that truly express affection, a word of encouragement, of blessing and of comfort…
These are the little things that build up the Kingdom of God, because they are like that bit of yeast that leavens the whole dough.
It is also how that small brick which is insignificant in the construction of a gigantic tower but is essential for it at the same time.
Ask the Lord for you to be that mustard seed or that little bit of leaven wherever you are, so that through you the Kingdom of God grows and spreads out.
Good day.
