WEDNESDAY 9th FEBRUARY 2022
Mark 7, 14-23:
“What comes from within, that indeed defiles a person. For from within a person’s heart come evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, covetousness, injustices, frauds, unruliness, envy, slander, pride, frivolity. All these evil things come from within and make a person unclean.
Today’s gospel continues with the same theme as yesterday, so I invite you to re-read yesterday’s commentary. We often say that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It is also true that what leads us to adopt a certain behaviour or to carry out certain actions is what is in our hearts. Because we also say that what is effective is what is affective. Take care to fill your heart with all that is good.
Fill your interior with everything that leads you to serve more and better, to work more and better for others, to meet more and better with God. Fill your heart with everything that leads you to act out of love and to seek the good of others.
Good day.
