Serving the Word: 2nd October

SATURDAY 2nd OCTOBER 2021

Matthew 18:1-5:10:

“Beware of neglecting one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels are always beholding in heaven the face of my heavenly Father.”

Today we celebrate the Guardian Angels.

The Guardian Angel is the personification of God’s care, affection, love, closeness and companionship.

I would go so far as to say that today we are each celebrating our own feast. Because each one of us is called to be a Guardian Angel for others.

Each of us is called to be the guardian of our brothers and sisters.

Each of us is to be the visible manifestation of God’s care for each and every person.

Think of those people whom the Lord has placed and places on your path every day so that you can show them his closeness, his love, his providence and his accompaniment.

Realise that you are the guardian angel of each of these people and ask the Lord to respond accordingly.

Good day.
