THURSDAY 20th JANUARY 2022
Mark 3, 7-12:
“Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the shore of the lake, and a crowd from Galilee followed him. When they heard what he was doing, many people came from Judea, from Jerusalem and Idumea, from Transjordan, from near Tyre and Sidon. He told his disciples to have a boat ready, lest the crowds crush him”.
Why do so many people seek Jesus?
+ Because everyone wants to feel his healing and saving power.
+ Because everyone wants to feel his affection and closeness.
+ Because they know that Jesus is interested in people and that he is also interesting for people.
+ Because, as Pope Francis would say, Jesus wants to “smell like sheep”.
Today too, all of us need Jesus’ closeness and affection.
We all need his healing, his healing power and his saving power.
Do not hesitate to come close to Jesus and touch him so that his grace may be transmitted to your life.
You will draw near and touch him in prayer, in the Eucharist, in the sacrament of Reconciliation.
And keep in mind that if you are united to Jesus, the power, grace, forgiveness, joy and salvation of Jesus will pass through you to many others.
Work to be united to Him.
In Jesus you will find LIFE and from Him you too will be able to pass on LIFE with capital letters.
Good day.
