WEDNESDAY 11 OCTOBER 2023
Luke 11, 1-4
“Lord, teach us to pray”.
The words and phrases that we repeat the most run the risk of remaining hollow and lacking in content. We repeat them mechanically, just as we walk or eat mechanically.
This can also happen with the prayers we repeat the most. We can pronounce words with our mouth but not with our heart.
Think how Jesus pronounced the word Father or Abba, in his language, how full of content these words would be! And try to imitate Jesus. Spend some time thinking about your Father God. Repeatedly pronounce the word Father with your lips and from your heart fill it with content. You will see how your heart will expand in the joy of feeling that you are a child of the Father God.
And don’t forget: before the word Father comes another word: “our”. Our Father always refers us to our brothers and sisters. Have a good day.
Good day to you.
