On the occasion of the 177th anniversary of the foundation of the Congregation, the Superior General, Fr Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, has addressed this letter to the entire Congregation. In this message, he invites us to make a spiritual pilgrimage to our origins in Vic, not as an exercise in nostalgia, but as an examination of identity: do we still breathe today the same Spirit that set Saint Anthony Mary Claret and his first companions ablaze in 1849?
This year, the celebration is accompanied by a historic milestone for the structure and institutional growth of the Congregation: as of 16 July 2026, the iconic community of Vic-Sallent becomes a General House, consolidating its role as the heart of spiritual and charismatic renewal for missionaries throughout the world.
