Serving the Word: 10th December

FRIDAY 10th DECEMBER 2021

Matthew 11, 16-19:

“This generation is like children sitting in the market place crying out to one another, ‘We have played the flute, and you have not danced; we have sung lamentations, and you have not wept’.”

There are people who are never satisfied with what others do. They always have the “but” in their hands and in their mouths.

That is why Jesus advises us to act always from God’s wisdom.

If we try to live our lives from that wisdom, we can never be afraid of being criticised or rejected or persecuted.

From our faith, our intention and attention is not to please people but God.

We must never care about “what people will say”, the opinion of the people around us, nor about false and sycophantic applause.

Our paths are made by God and with him we walk them.

Ask the Lord today for his wisdom to walk them.

Good day.
