John 6, 52-59:
“My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in him”.
The Jews do not quite understand, as we do not quite understand: “How can this man give us his flesh to eat”. We will understand Jesus’ words when we want to participate fully in the Eucharist. And to participate in the Eucharist means to unite ourselves to Christ in such a way that the person and life of Jesus shapes our own person and our own life.
When we eat the bread of the Eucharist we become one with Jesus. His life moves our life. He dwells in us and we in him.
Receive him in the Eucharist whenever you have the opportunity and make sure that you have many occasions. Worship Him present in the tabernacle and try to do so many times.
Your life will be transformed without you realising it because it is Jesus who transforms it to his own extent.
