Serving the Word: 26th January

WEDNESDAY 26th JANUARY 2022

Mark 4, 1-20:

“The sower went out to sow…. Some fell by the wayside… Some fell on rocky ground…. Some fell among the brambles…. The rest fell on good soil.

When I read, meditate and pray with this parable, I identify with all the soils where the seed of the Word falls.

I identify with the roadside, with the stony ground, with the field full of brambles and also with the good soil.

And I think that’s normal because we all have something of all of them.

But `I also believe that the important thing is that the good soil gains ground over the other soils.

And this is the work of each day: to remove obstacles, to remove stones and to remove brambles and thorns so that the Word of God may grow and bear fruit in us each day with greater strength and vigour.

Work hard so that your good soil may increase in size every day.

I wish you much growth in your good soil today.

Good day.
