Serving the Word: 1st December

TUESDAY 1 DECEMBER 2020

Luke 10, 21-24:

“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it”.

Advent is a time when we renew our hope and joy.

Hope, because we are waiting for what we already have.

Joy, because we see and can feel what we are waiting for.

Jesus’ contemporaries were very lucky to hear him, to see him, to touch him. But we too are no less fortunate. Because we too can hear Him, see Him and feel Him. Remember those words of Jesus: “Truly, I say to you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”.

Try to live Advent in the hope that you already possess what you are waiting for.

Jesus is present in those little ones of whom the Gospel speaks. Blessed are your eyes if you see Jesus in those whom you see.

Good day.
