Serving the Word: 16th November

TUESDAY 16th NOVEMBER 2021

Luke 19:1-10:

“When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down at once, for today I must stay at your house.” He came down at once and received him with great joy”.

Today Jesus passes by Zacchaeus who is climbing a fig tree and wants to see him.

Jesus looks at Zacchaeus and invites himself to stay in his house because he wants salvation to enter Zacchaeus’ house. Open wide today the doors of the house of your heart to Jesus.

He also wants to stay in your house today.

To do this you may have to take a “leap” like Zacchaeus did when he came down from the fig tree.

You may have to come down from the fig tree of pride, the fig tree of apathy, the fig tree of laziness, the fig tree of lack of love, and so many other “fig trees” that can prevent Jesus from taking up residence in your heart.

But you can be sure that you too, like Zacchaeus, will experience the joy of salvation.

If Jesus enters your home, you will notice that your life is reoriented, that he makes everything new, that your love and dedication to others grows and that you truly experience how the joy of the Gospel is reborn in you.

Good day.
