Serving the Word: 16th February

Mark 8, 27-33:

“And you, who do you say that I am?”.

Who do you say that Jesus is?

To tell others who Jesus is, you have to be clear about who Jesus is for you.

And you cannot answer this question only from your reason but, above all, from your heart and from your life.

Until Jesus stops being a simple idea in your head and becomes the person who governs and moves your life, your actions, your feelings and your thinking, you will not be able to answer who Jesus is for you, nor will you be able to tell others who Jesus is.

Nor will you be able to answer that question until you embrace the Cross: “Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the Gospel’s will save it”.

When your life is a following of Jesus with your cross and the cross of others in tow, you will be knowing Jesus from the heart and you will be telling yourself and others who Jesus is.

Good day to you.
