Serving the Word: Mt 21: 33-43.45-46

Matthew 21:33-43.45-46:
“I tell you then, that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.”

You and I are the vineyard of which the Gospel speaks today.
A vineyard which God cares about and exquisitely tends.
He pampers it, he protects it and surrounds it with everything necessary to produce good and plentiful fruit.
For this he gives us some wonderful tools: prayer, the Eucharist, the Sacrament of Forgiveness, spiritual accompaniment, the community, the Church…
For me this gospel is a powerful call to attention:
+ How am I responding to the love and care of God for me?.
+ How do I use the tools that God puts into my hands each day to be a better vineyard?.
Dedicate a few minutes today to think about this.
And don’t forget: You are also a tool in the hands of God to love and care for others. That through you we may see the affection and care that God has for us.
Good day.
